EdTech Estonia’s highlights from 2024
As 2025 has arrived, we’re taking a look back on our last year to reflect, learn, and grow. A heartfelt thank you to our partners at the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the Government Office, EstDev, EIS, ETAG, Tallinn Education Department, Tallinn University, University of Tartu, and many others.
Key Achievements in 2024
Fostering EdTech Innovation:
Conducted a successful mentorship program together with the University of Tartu for startups, advancing new players in the EdTech sector.
Welcomed 4 new members to EdTech Estonia
Co-organized EdTech Hack together with Tallinn University, TalTech, and the ministry of Education and Research with a focus on vocational education.
Consulted the Government Office and the Ministry of Education and Research in the tender preparation process.
Supporting Growth:
Organized 13 demo sessions to connect EdTech providers with potential clients.
Strengthened export readiness together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and participated in 9 international events, such as the Nordic EdTech Summit and the United Nations Global DPI Summit.
Started a cross-boarder cooperation with the Ukrainian EdTech Sector thanks to the support of EstDev.
Expanding the Ecosystem:
Held 3 multi-stakeholder collaboration days and established partnerships with international organizations like the European EdTech Alliance.
Worked on the concept for an Estonian EdTech HUB in partnership with the National Library, and on the vision of a global education ecosystem in partnership with Educraftor from Finland.
Fostered collaboration between the academia and private sector in projects like EdTech Talents, Academy4Business, and the development advisors program by Enterprise Estonia.
Raising Awareness and Visibility:
Published over 20 articles promoting EdTech solutions.
Boosted sector visibility through social media, gaining approximately 900 new followers across platforms.
Contributed to prominent events like the Teacher of the Year Gala and the Prejudice Festival panel discussion.
Consulted the Enterprise Estonia in creating new marketing materials for the Estonian EdTech Sector:

Looking Ahead to 2025
This year, our focus will include:
Strengthening the collaboration between the public and private sector in Estonia, including joint efforts to foster export.
Expanding our international collaborations and projects with universities and other partners.
Working towards the realization of the Estonian EdTech HUB vision.
Continuing to grow the EdTech community and foster innovation via hackathons, mentoring, and peer-learning.
